Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: April 2026

The short version: When you book a flight, hotel or holiday through one of our links, we earn a small commission from our travel partners. This costs you nothing extra — you pay exactly the same price as booking directly. This is how we keep BackpackYourDreams free.

Who We Partner With

BackpackYourDreams.com participates in affiliate programmes with the following travel platforms:

  • Travelpayouts — our primary affiliate network, providing access to flights, hotels and travel products worldwide.
  • Aviasales — flight search and comparison. We earn a commission when you book flights through our links.
  • Trip.com — flights, hotels and travel packages. We earn a commission on completed bookings.
  • Kiwi.com — flight search including multi-city and hidden city routes. Commission earned on completed bookings.
  • Airalo — eSIM cards for international travel. Commission earned on purchases.
  • Ekta — travel insurance. Commission earned on policy purchases.
  • Booking.com — hotel and accommodation bookings. Commission earned on completed stays.
  • Skyscanner — flight and hotel price comparison. Commission earned on referred bookings.
  • GetYourGuide / Viator — tours, activities and experiences. Commission earned on bookings.
  • Localrent / DiscoverCars — car hire comparison. Commission earned on completed rentals.

How Affiliate Links Work

When you click a “Book Now”, “Search Flights”, “Check Prices” or similar button on our site, you are redirected to our partner’s website. Your visit is tagged with our unique affiliate ID. If you complete a booking within the cookie window (usually 30 days), our partner pays us a commission — typically between 1% and 8% of the booking value.

You pay exactly the same price as if you had visited the partner directly. The commission comes from the partner’s marketing budget, not from your wallet.

Our Editorial Promise

We do not feature deals or recommend products because they pay us more. Every deal on this site is selected purely on the basis of value to you, the traveller.

We will always:

  • Only recommend deals we believe are genuinely good value
  • Clearly label all affiliate links and sponsored content
  • Provide honest reviews and information regardless of affiliate relationships
  • Never accept payment to feature a deal or write a positive review
